I wasn't able to get to WWB until the 2nd night - hence this starting with "Night 2". The wind was blowing, and anything on the infield blew towards me. (Kept getting smoke and debris all over me. Cool!) Click on a thumbnail for a full-sized image. Copyright notice at bottom of page.

I really wasn't happy with the first night of photography for me. I don't know - it just didn't "click". My aiming was off due to the wind and I always seemed to over-compensate. (Consider that I shot over 500 shots on the first day/night, these are the ones that looked good!)

With the wind blowing, it made for some very interesting looking pictures.

Why is it that we can't seem to launch a salvo without salutes?

Some of the cakes demo'd this night were very nice!

Ring-pattern shells work great for pictures.

The colors worked VERY well on this one.

Mess-o-shells and wind makes for a great picture!

Bill Zuber's Gasoline Wall helped to keep the folks warm!

There was a display of different cakes. Made for a grand display!

Add in a couple of pattern shells - now you're talkin

Nice crossing pattern

I love the blue on this one

Add in some strobes - makes for a great shot

Nils Anderson

Nils contacted me that he had bought 3 shells from Aaron Mayfield. This is one of those beauties. (This picture has not been cropped - it was a huge 12" shell)
