Miscellaneous

There are all shots that are hard to figure out where to place them. So here you go.

These pictures were all shot at the WPA's Western Winter Blast #17, 2006. These pictures are thumbnails images. To see a larger image, click on'em.

The local Lake Havasu City cable channel (along with a myriad of newspaper reporters) showed up to get the skinny about WWB. Russ Laurie (WPA President) handled them with ease.

Chris Spurrell (Manufacturing Chair) talking with Mike and Mikey

The Arizona sunsets are absolutely stunning. This weekend was no exception.

There was a threat of rain on Sunday morning that never panned out. Sure was a pleasant change from last years downpours!

At the end of the Boom Boom display, Bill Zuber (seen just at the bottom of the picture) set off one of his walls of fire.

This time I adjusted the camera for Bill Zuber's wall-o-fire to catch all of the detail in the fireballs.

The Million Firecracker Tent (or Teepee).

The crew that put this awesome assembly of crackers together.

And the inside was not as empty as first thought.

For the entire day, all you could do is just look at the thing and wonder how it would look.

The cracker tent was ignited from 4 locations. At first, it looked like it was a normal cracker event.

But then all of a sudden, it went over the top.

A huge fireball developed and before you knew it....

it was fully consumed. It all went up in about 15 seconds. No kidding - a million crackers in 15 seconds! (The debris did pop off for over 10 minutes, but it was awesome to see the whole thing go at once.)

The day after. Frankly I was suprised to see the wood still standing. Good job for the construction.

The folks from A.M. and Wolverine had to set up amidst the debris from BoomBoom's show.

The vendor tent was a happening place.

The folks from Outlaw Pyro giving me a peak at their peeps.

Chris Spurrell lit off the six bowls of his colored alcohol mix. This time he lit them with one of his monstor sparklers.

Afterwards, you just had to admire the sparks in the wind.

The assortment of colored alcohol bowls.

So Mike Smith contacted me via email before WWB about taking a picture. "Sure!" I said. And here's his Pyro Portrait!

Mike *thought* about posing with some titanium fountains, but in the end he didn't think that would be a good idea. Made for an impressive display.
