Hard to tell here, but these are three heart-shaped shells.

Part of the Star-Spangled Banner display. (Red-White-Blue if you were viewing it from the grandstands.)

Wolverine and Landis Pyro put on the public displays.

Ring shells galore!

Note: On the right, there are three star shaped shells - I just happened to catch the white one right after it burst. The star is very visible.

Here a 50/50 Purple and White shell, perfectly lined up to my POV.

This is a very hard shell to capture - the very bright white and very dim gold charcoal. (Did some PhotoShop shenanigans here.)

This shot was pure happenstance. I opened the shutter *just* after the heart shape shell burst - giving you a very distinct heart image.

These pictures were all shot at the WPA's Western Winter Blast #16, 2005.

All of these pictures are mine, but you have permission to use them for your own personal use. If you want to use them in a publication, you'll need my permission. Besides, these pictures have been compressed for the web, and I can get you a much higher quality version of the shot!
