Not much to really show. The weather was just not good for photography. It started out a cloudy, foggy day. The clouds burnt off, but it left a hazy muck that never dissipated. The Air Force Thunderbirds performed late in the day, but you could tell that about 75% into their show they started to loose site of each other, and were forced to alter their show. In the end, all they could do was fly by and land.

However, it did provide some very unusual pictures. There are many more, but they are almost a waste of disk space. Click on any of them for a larger image.

All were shot with a Nikon D-200 with the 18-200 lens, polarizer attached (in a vain effort to reduce the glare!).

This F-18 was all but lost in the haze. However, I got *very* lucky here. The sun is just out of the field high and to the left. The haze was causing some significant vapor flashing off the top of the wings during hi-g manuvers.Here, you can see a slight rainbow effect on top of the wings. If you look very carefully, you can see a shadow under the aircraft, extending down in the 5 o'clock position. (It is very faint.)	The F-15 made a hi-g pass in front of the audience. Here you can see how humid the air really was.	I don't think I've seen a shot like this. The Thunderbirds in a diamond-arrow formation with wing-tip trails. You can also see how bad this day was. I had to use a polarizing filter to try and knock down the haze, and the tele-photo lens was extended all the way out. This lead to some very heavy vignetting (seen as darkening on the right).
This one really turned out quite well. It should - they were close and at the correct angle to the sun for the polarizing filter to work.
